This standard was developed by the British Association of Removers in association with the BSI. This standard demonstrates the highest standards of care for the environment, conformance to diversity and equality principles, a commitment to socio economic issues and a dedication to quality.

This quality standard is specifically designed for furniture removals and storage for the benefit of private individuals.

BS 8564 – Furniture Removal Activities Overseas Moving
The Overseas Moving Standard, this standard covers the three phases of a removal: firstly the initial contact, survey and quotation; then the carrying out phase; and lastly the follow up including measurement quality and the handling of any claims or complaints.
